Disaster planning and preparedness

Posted Sunday 12 May 2024 | Northern Queensland Primary Health Network

NQPHN, together with AGPAL invite general practice staff to an interactive workshop that will help your practice ensure its staff are prepared in the event of a disaster or emergency.

With the reality of complex disasters occurring and significantly impacting GPs, we recognise a need for coordinated, realistic disaster planning and preparation.

This interactive workshop will provide:

  • facilitated discussion and guidance about potential barriers to providing healthcare services during a disaster or emergency
  • expert disaster guidance in line with RACGP needs across the different standards and indicators related to risk and disaster management.

Participating practices will be reimbursed for a two-year subscription to RACGPs Emergency Response Planning Tool (ERPT).

Each session can be attended virtually by selecting the videoconference option at time of registration.
