One of the most challenging roles of PHNs is building the capacity of general practitioners to do alcohol and other drug work. Low turn out for training events is particularly frustrating. 360Edge has developed a stepped model that draws from the stages of change and matches level of interest in alcohol and other drugs to the activities offered. We tested this model in a collaborative design project with Queensland PHNs resulting in the STEALTH (Strategic Training Education and Learning Targeted Holistically) approach, using local data to link development opportunities with motivation to engage.
