Public Health Program Planning and Evaluation

Would you like to make a difference in the public health or health promotion field?

If you are a interested in strengthening your project/program planning and evaluation skills to help address contemporary public health challenges, then this is the masterclass for you! By the end this masterclass, you will have developed a project and evaluation plan.

Prior training in public health/health promotion is not essential, however knowledge of a particular health issue YOU would like to address is advantageous. This masterclass workshop may contribute towards professional continuing professional development (CPD) points.

Presenters

Sue Devine – DrPH, MPHTM, PGDip(HP), G.Cert.TT

Sue is an Associate Professor and Academic Head of Public Health and Tropical Medicine at James Cook University. Sue has been working in Higher Education area for over 20 years, with her main focus teaching health promotion both at an undergraduate and postgraduate level. Sue is a sought after academic with experience building the capacity of the public health/health promotion workforce, particularly in evidence based project planning and evaluation, and health promotion evaluation research.

Tammy Allen – B.Sc.(HP), MPHTM

Tammy is a Senior Lecturer in the College of Public Health and Tropical Medicine at James Cook University. Tammy has been working in public health for over 20 years, with experience coordinating community based public health/health promotion programs in Queensland, Western Australia, and the Pacific. Over the last 10 years, Tammy has been teaching health promotion/public health program planning and evaluation to undergraduate and postgraduate students, and to health professionals as a consultant in this field.
