We want to hear from primary care providers in Townsville and Mackay!
You're invited to an afterhours primary care services market engagement session
Northern Queensland Primary Health Network invites general practitioners, pharmacists, allied health, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs), and other primary care service providers to discuss a proposed tender aimed at contributing to alleviating the burden of busy emergency department presentations in the Mackay and Townsville regions.
The objective of the online session is to explore opportunities that enhance efficiencies and define key barriers in delivering afterhours primary health care services. The session will also provide a valuable opportunity to share your inputs and capacity that allow us to understand the models of care required to provide afterhours primary health care services.
Available afterhours services relative to need suggests that improving access to afterhours primary care services (in the sociable afterhours period) may support improved access to urgent primary health care.
Those who can't attend the online event will still be eligible to apply for the request for proposal, planned to be released soon.
