Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner (Core)

Date posted: Thursday 07 November 2024
Closing date: Friday 10 January 2025

Empower clients, inspire change, and unlock their potential. This isn't just another job; its a community of bright minds working together.

Imagine a role where every day feels like a chance to change someone’s story. A place where your skills guide individuals to find their strengths, build resilience, and create pathways to progress. We’re looking for a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner who’s fueled by Excellence, driven by Passion, grounded in Integrity, and thrives in Collaboration. If that sounds like you, and you’re ready to create your best path forward while guiding others to do the same—let’s talk!

Your Mission: Step into a role where you’ll use your skills to empower clients, helping them overcome challenges, and unlock their potential. This isn’t a job; it’s a journey where each client’s success becomes part of your own. You’ll work alongside a supportive, like-minded team, creating and implementing behaviour support plans that make a real difference.

Who Are You?

  • A dynamic practitioner with a relevant qualification in an allied health or behavioural science and registration with the NDIS Commission to carryout PBS work (Core/suitable minimum)
  • Have a passion for helping children and adults with behavioural difficulties and understand that every behaviour serves a purpose.
  • You thrive in facilitating and enabling meaningful outcomes for clients and families.
  • Some experience in positive behavioural support work (ideally 6 months minimum) or ability to learn quickly
  • Patience and ability to keep calm in stressful situations
  • Able to work autonomously and part of a specialist multidisciplinary team
  • Able to effectively communicate with parents and carers.
  • Strong case formulation and written report writing skills.
  • Have a positive and flexible approach to work

What You Will Do?

As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you'll work across various settings—homes, schools, playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres, and build strong, supportive relationships with participants and their families to conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA) and develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans. You'll collaborate within interdisciplinary and stakeholder teams to tackle complex behavioural challenges and drive outcomes for participants. You’re a mentor, a strategist, and a catalyst for growth, using your skills to make a lasting impact on the lives of clients and their families and where every small win is celebrated by a team that values excellence just as much as you do.

Perks, Benefits, and All the Good Stuff:

Here at ATS, we’re committed to supporting you in your professional journey with benefits that empower your growth:

  • Competitive Salary: We recognise and reward your dedication and skill.
  • Professional Development: From conferences to specialised training, we support your growth with opportunities to keep learning and advancing.
  • Flexible Schedule: We understand the need for balance and offer a schedule that supports both your work and personal life.
  • Supervision: We acknowledge that learning and development never stops.
  • Bonus Incentive Program: We provide extra bonus incentives for exceeding targets.

Why Join Us?

When you join ATS, you’ll be joining a team that’s as passionate as you are, where collaboration isn’t just a buzzword but a way of life. We support each other, challenge each other, and celebrate the small wins that make a big difference.

If this sounds like the kind of place you’d thrive, and you’re ready to take your career to the next level with a team that believes in you, we can’t wait to meet you!  We’re excited to see how your story adds to ours!
