When Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is managed well, it means a better quality of life, fewer symptoms, and lower risk of hospitalisation. While there is no cure for COPD, well-managed COPD is possible through a combination of evidence-based, patient-centred care.
The recently launched COPD Clinical Care Standard will address current gaps in clinical practice, providing a pathway of quality care for COPD management in community and acute settings, and the transitions of care between them.
Working with the COPD Clinical Care Standard, the new COPD-X Handbook offers practical tips and advice for delivering evidence-based care for people living with COPD in a user-friendly, point-of-care summary format.
So, how does your practice measure up?
To mark World COPD Day 2024, and in alignment with this year’s theme of Know Your Lung Function, Lung Foundation Australia present this virtual learning event focuses on the guideline-recommended approach to early and consistent lung function testing in COPD.
