Now is the time to learn about advance care planning in Mareeba

As part of National Advance Care Planning Week (20-26 March 2023) Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) is hosting an informal BBQ event, open to all, to start a conversation about advance care planning and how it can help prepare you and your loved ones. 

It may seem challenging to find the right time to talk about advanced care planning. Yet having the conversations and documenting values and preferences about future medical care can ensure those preferences are respected. 

Whether you need to talk about yourself, a family member, a patient or a client, National Advance Care Planning Week is a great time to start the conversation.  

Advance care planning gives you and your loved ones a voice in your health care before the time comes when you can’t speak for yourself.
