Contacting your regular GP should always be your first point of call if you need urgent medical care and it’s not a life-threatening medical emergency. Check your Medical Practice information sheet for details on accessing after hours consultations and support.
If access to your regular GP is not available, you can check whether a GP or pharmacy is open near your current location on the National Health Services Directory which can be found by visiting this link.
If you are seeking medical information or advice you can call 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84). 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84) is a confidential phone service that provides health advice to Queenslanders. You can phone and talk to a registered nurse 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the cost of a local call.
