Health literacy is about how people understand information about health and health care, and how they apply that information to their lives, use it to make decisions, and act on it. Health literacy plays an important role in enabling effective partnerships. For partnerships to work, everyone involved needs to be able to give and receive, interpret, and act on information such as treatment options and plans.

GoShare Healthcare is an online tool that makes it easy for primary care providers to send personalised, timely health literacy resources to consumers. Their bundles are customisable, meaning you can send patients health resources tailored to their individual needs. Bundles can also be scheduled to be sent automatically over time.  

NQPHN encourages the use of GoShare Healthcare to improve patient engagement, build health literacy and allow patients to manage their own health outcomes.
